An Easy and Fast Snack: Kale Chips

As college students, we crave the worst foods possible. Potato Chips is a craving of mine and something that I always NEED to have. Since potato chips are so bad for your health and are loaded with fats, I have found a healthy alternative. Kale Chips are easy and quick to make and a healthy alternative than eating regular potato chips.

What You Need: 

1 head kale, washed and dried

2 tablespoons olive oil

Sea salt, for sprinkling

Directions: 

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

With a knife, carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces.

Lay the kale on the baking sheet and combine the salt and olive oil to the kale pieces.

Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, about 10 to 15 minutes.

Allow the chips to cool and enjoy!

Kale Chips are very tasty and healthy. They are easy to make and you do not need many ingredients to make them. Junior at Rowan University, Juliana Ferrauilo loves to make kale chips. “I always make them for my roommates and my friends that come over. They are so easy to make and we do not feel bad eating them because they are so much healthier than regular potato chips. We love them!”
